Hi Abdul,
To pursue a Diploma or B.Sc. course in Optometry one needs a background in Science in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology or Mathematics. Selection criteria may vary among institutes, who may also conduct their own entrance examinations. Post-graduate diplomas in Optometry require a graduate degree from any subject – though a Science background definitely gives an advantage. Master and M.Phil programs require a completed Bachelor degree and Master degree in optometry respectively.
I hope this information helps. Please feel free to revert.
Wish you luck.

Hi, I didnt say anything about the waiting list date. I just said that you need to check the DTE website for process timelines. JBIMS will mostly start from 10th of July. What is your score ? You need at least 99.99 percentile to get into JB if you are from AP.

There is no 6 year degree program. You are recommended to seek admission in 3 year Diploma in Engineering in branch of your choice. Some engineering colleges have lateral entry admission for Diploma holders in second year of B.Tech. You may seek admission in such colleges for B.Tech.

I don't think you will receive GDPI call from IIMs with 82 percentile in CAT. You will have to do really well and score atleast 99.5 percentile to get GDPI calls from atleast few older IIMs. Please understand that on an average 2 lakh students appear for CAT and 82 percentile means there are 36,000 students who have scored more marks than you. Seats in all IIMs combined is not more than 2000.

You should continue with 11th as in the current scenario 12th is taken to be a base requirement for any career, you would have plenty of time to pursue courses of your choice if you do well in 12th
