Yes, you need personality, good communication skills and good attitude. So, I don't think maths as an optional subject in class 12 will create any problem.

MH-CET offers admissions both on domicile basis and has some open quota for outstate students. So, if you have a domicile of Maharashtra & do well in the open test then you have a better chance of getting admission in a good college or else you will have to compete in the quota of outstate students.

They have their own criteria of calculating their own scores like if you score A in maths and B in computers then they have the criteria that if A student is scoring A in maths and B in computers then he must be having a percentage of 75.
