I believe that you have finished your class 12th/Schooling after which you took a gap of a year and you wish to join college now. There will not be any problem in applying to college. Just make sure that you check the prospectus online and read the guidelines before applying to college. In general there is no problem at all for dropper.

First, start researching on different universities, what their eligibility criteria is, how much marks they seek, how much IELTS score is required, deadlines, fees, scholarships etc. Most of them require 75% and above in class 12th. Everything is mentioned on university websites, you can also email them for inquiries. There are many universities in Canada and it is difficult to name just one. You can look up the NET. Simon Fraser University, McMaster University, University of British Columbia, University of Waterloo are some of the famous ones. Eligibilty criteria for admission
10+2 pass from Board of School Education, Haryana or equivalent with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together both in qualifying and competitive examinations and must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually in the qualifying examination.
