I would recommend that you refer the foreign authors and publication like Tata McGraw Hill. The content in those books is more authentic and detailed for better understanding.

Actually it is not possible. The questions are asked from both classes 11th and 12th and mostly they will be equally divided. So if you prepare only the class 12 syllabus, you cannot score more.
Also, if the cut off mark increases, then your chances of clearing JEE Mains would be very low.
