Both are good, but animation is an ongoing trend and becoming a hotcake these days , it has huge scope and also one can do their own business after completion of the course instead of looking for a salaried job option, it has good scope.

It's good to see you confident that you can crack JEE after two years of preparation. But having 2 years of gap in your studies will harm you in your career. It is suggested to take admission in some top private universities as it will give you better results than dropping 2 years. You should look out for some best universities and apply for them. If you get under 10000 then may be you can get admission in branches like me,mpar,ice,bt. But i am not sure if you are even eligible to appear for JEE-main 2017 .kindly check.
