Hi Rati,
Both are good, but if you are thinking of only jobs, CCNA certified people are given preference.
In java, you have to think of algorithms and syntax to apply the logic, you don't have to understand much but you have to think much. As for the CCNA-CCNP, its purely networking. It have less syntax but more thinking and understanding. It consists of network designing. You have to design networks between devices and make them communicate each other. The more you can imagine, the more you will learn.

Hi Rati,
Yes, Very much. If you choose the term Networking, CCNA will always help.
CCNA gives great idea on the Routing and switching technique. A good understanding on the basic functionality can be obtained from CCNA. But only CCNA is not enough.

Hi Parv,
Unfortunately, CCNA cannot be studied over a week's time. The core CCNA certification can be obtained by passing a single 90-minute written exam. The exam has no prerequisites, although Cisco and other companies offer various formal training courses to help students prepare. Topics covered on the CCNA exam include
* LAN and WAN design (including the OSI model)
* IP addressing
* routers and routing protocols (including OSPF, EIGRP and RIP)
* VLAN (virtual LAN) and WLAN (wireless LAN)
* network security and management (including ACLs)
Hence, my recommendation is to prepare full fledged and then appear for the exam.
Hope this informatio

Hi Parv,
Yes, it can be useful if you want to move or are already working in a telecom company. However, sources say this certification will be valid till 15 Aug 2015 and then expire. So you would be better off going for the CCNA collaboration certificate. But overall if you are from a reputed institute then you dont need to worry too much about certifications as a fresher for finding jobs.

Hi Mudit,
Yes, it is mandatory to get a CCNA certification in order to get CCNP certification. However, you can still write any of the exams from CCNP track without passing CCNA, but even if you pass all the exams of CCNP track without CCNA, Cisco will not give you the CCNP certificate unless you pass CCNA. HTH.

Hi Parv,
Salary is a function of various factors - i.e. (i) the institute where you have completed your B.Tech + M.Tech. e.g. a graduate from a top institute will command a higher salary. (ii) Your work experience - organization and type of work profile (iii) city - a metropolitan city will have higher salaries as compared to smaller cities and towns. (iv) Your current organization - i.e. where you will be joining - an MNC usually has higher salaries as compared to other organizations. (v) Your work profile i.e. Manager/ AVP, etc. Thus one cannot allocate a figure.
We would suggest you to design a proper resume of your qualifica
