Candidates must have finished any degree (graduate), or an equivalent examination, from a recognised institution, with at least a 50 percent grade point average (GPA). Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (Academic/Vocational) conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the University of Madras are eligible for admission to the Certificate Courses.

Certificate Course in Library and Information Science is an initial level certificate course in the domain of library science.

Students must obtain a Diploma from their 12th grade with a minimum grade point average of 50% from a recognised board or other institution.
