Scope for higher studies after B.Sc chemistry:
The B.Sc chemistry graduates have many options for their higher studies. Majority of these graduates opt for Master's degree in the same. But they can also choose various specialized areas in this field for the post-graduation courses. Many universities offer the study of chemistry at post graduate and at doctoral levels. For joining M.Sc in chemistry or related discipline courses, they have to pursue B.Sc form any recognized universities with at least 55% marks. Admission to B.Sc in Chemistry is generally merit-based. Colleges which follow merit-based admission process, generally release a cut-off percentage for admission to the programme. The admission forms are available in the month of May/June after the results for 10+2 are declared. Universities like University of Delhi release a central cut off list for affiliated colleges. Students who fulfill the cut-off criteria are then granted admission in the respective colleges.
The forms for entrance examinations are also available in the months of May and June and the exam is ideally conducted in the month of J
