Amity University Raipur admissions are entrance-based. The university conducts its entrance exam, AMCAT for shortlisting candidates. Apart from this, Amity Raipur also accepts national-level entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, CUET UG, JEE Main, etc. for admission to specific courses. After completion of the selection rounds, the shortlisted candidates are called for verification of the documents. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

CAT is one of the accepting exam for Amity Raipur MBA admission. However, it is not mandatory to get admission through CAT score. Candidates can also qualify other national-level Management entrance exams such as MAT/ GMAT/ GRE or Amity Test to get admission in MBA programme. For MBA International, aspirants can apply with XAT/ MAT/ CMAT/GMAT/ NMAT/ AMCAT score. Selected candidates are further called for a personal interview round for selection.

For a B.Tech program, Amity University Raipur is usually regarded as superior to ICFAI University Raipur. Amity University is regarded as one of the top private universities in the state, and one source claims that Amity University-Raipur offers better B.Tech programs.  Amity University's placement situation is also praised for its excellence; nevertheless, it should be noted that other universities, such as ICFAI University Raipur, offer opportunities as well, and the choice between the two should be based on the particular circumstances of each case.

For admission to the B.Tech program, ICFAI University Raipur accepts entrance exam results from JEE Main, the State Level Engineering Entrance Examination (SLEEE), and the Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test (CGPET).  Candidates must have completed their 10+2 or its equivalent with an overall grade point average of 45% or more, passing all four subjects—mathematics, physics, chemistry, and English—from an accredited board.
