To apply for admission at IIT Bhilai, candidates must apply through the official website of respective accepting entrance exams and fill out the application form in online mode. IIT Bhilai admission to most of the courses is entrance-based. Further, for admission to PhD course, candidates must apply on the official website of IIT Bhilai.
Note: For MTech, the qualifying candidates have to further apply for COAP and then apply on the official website of IIT Bhilai to proceed to confirm their admission. The Application fee of 100 INR is applicable for SC/ST/PwD/female candidates and 200 INR is applicable for other candidates.

IIT Bhilai offers UG & PG courses in full-time mode. The offered courses are BTech, M.Tech and MSc. To secure a seat at IIT Bhilai, candidates have to go through a selection process, which includes qualifying entrance exam and appearing for the counselling process. No, admission to MTech at IIT Bhilai is not possible without GATE. Based on their ranks, candidates will be allocated seats and branch accordingly. Those who get a good rank in GATE can register for COAP Counselling.
However, for admission to MTech (Bio-Engineering) branch, candidates can apply via GPAT scores. These candidates will be exempted from appearing for GATE.
