Firstly there is no need for any course but you want so can do B.Sc. If you go for engineering then you don't get enough time to prepare for IAS because engineering is such a difficult stream but if you go for B.Sc. So you will get enough time for your IAS preparation.

Go for BA simple, because ultimately you want to go for IAS, so it is better to study the base here only in BA.

Depending on your qualification and stream of graduation your subject may vary. But basic GS subjects like Polity, Geography, History, Economics etc. are most fundamental. Other than that some subjects you will have the option to choose depending on your interests. Sort out the subjects you are good at and then narrow the list and then study accordingly.

Hi Rushikesh,
First of all congratulations as you'd done your schooling. Well, there's no particular type of graduation for being an IAS. It's up to you like in which course you're interested in or what stream you want to opt and for IAS officer exam you've to make up your mind and have to involve in general things and stuff like news and current affairs they will help you in clearing the IAS exam.

No, you can just ensure that you are fit, just by going for a morning walk and can exercise at home just to ensure that you are perfect. And even practice running. Gym is not necessary as you are going for IPS officer training, not for boxing or something else.
