You can choose any stream from Science, Arts and Commerce after completing your class 10. When choosing a stream in Class 11-12, consider your personal interests, strengths, and future career aspirations; if you enjoy Science and problem-solving, choose the Science stream, if you prefer business and numbers, opt for Commerce, and if you're passionate about humanities and social sciences, go for the Arts stream.

- To get admission to Class 11th at AMU, you generally need to have a 50-55% score in Class 10th

In some institutions, it issues different cut-off lists for admitting students into Class 11th Science, whereas usually, a common list gets released after completing 10th board exams. For example, Jamia Millia Islamia has had an approximate cutoff for Science for the year 2024 at about 82±2 for students in general category whereas others are on a slightly lesser scale of cutoff. In Maharashtra, cutoffs for FYJC or First Year Junior College are likely to be declared in June 2024.
