No, its not at all mandatory to give CLAT to become a lawyer. Candidates can enroll in Law courses offered by various universities and colleges to pursue UG and PG law courses. However, those who wish to take admission in one of NLUs except NLU Delhi will have to appear for Common National Admission Test (CLAT).

Narsee Monjee Mumbai (NMIMS) accepts both CLAT and LSAT scores for admission to its law programs. The BBA LL.B. programme has strong placement prospects with the highest salary package being 16 LPA, and the lowest around 6 LPA, with an average between 5 LPA and 6 LPA. Your +2 marks are okay but CLAT score is not good enough for NLUs admission. Please try out the following other colleges.
