The mode of National Law School of India University course admissions is online. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are CLAT and others. Candidates applying through CLAT must first register for the CLAT exam. Then appear for the CLAT exam. Then check out the CLAT result and take part in the counselling round.

Yes, you can get into the LLB programme offered at Ajeenkya DY Patil University without appearing for the CLAT exam. The university accepts students on the basis of their entrance exam (ACET for Law) conducted by the university. Those who clear then entrance exam are then called for personal interview for final shortlisting. Hence, there is no need to appear for the CLAT exam. Eligible students can apply for the LLB course by visiting the official website of the university.

Moreover, this Delhi-based university offers both BA LLB and BBA LLB law courses that GGSIPU offers. GGSIPU used to get students on the basis of their CLAT score while this year it has announced that it will accept students through both CLAT and CUET scores for their law courses.

Year after year, the cutoff ranks for the SC category in GGSIPUs legal programs tend to vary owing to the number of applicants, seat availability, and difficulty of the exam. For example, cutoff ranks for SC were approximately 3000 and above over the past years at the top National Law Universities (NLUs) which translates into CLAT scores of 80+ marks.

For all degree programmes in Law, admissions will be based on the CLAT 2022 Scores and +2 aggregate taken in the ratio of 25% : 75% respectively. For all other degree programmes in Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Education, etc., admissions will be based on the qualifying exam marks.

Candidates who have completed graduation from recognised colleges can also apply at colleges which admit candidates on the basis of merit. Therefore, candidates have ample opportunities to pursue LLB even without appearing CLAT.

Yes, candidates seeking admission to the Vel Tech BA LLB (H) programme can do so without appearing for CLAT. As per the official website, the university also offers direct admissions. However, students must note that students with a minimum of 45% in aggregate and above in CLAT are given prefrence over others.

With a CLAT score of 8314 AIR and an OBC rank of 1188, one can consider going for any of the Delhi government law colleges located in Delhi, which accept CLAT scores, including Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, and Law Centre II - those are all part of the University of Delhi.

All these factors may suggest that you stand little chance of getting into top NLUs because of your rank, but they usually have much relaxed cutoffs and, hence may allow you some leeway in the possibility of seeking admission under your category rank.
