Admission to the Coimbatore Institute Of Engineering and Technology - CIET Coimbatore can be moderately competitive. The college offers only BTech, MBA, MArch, BArch, and MTech courses. Admission to all these courses is done based on the scores obtained in entrance exams such as TANCET exam for MBA and GATE for MTech. To be eligible for these courses, the candidates need to have a minimum of 45% marks in the previous qualification in a relevant stream.

Yes, admissions are currently open at Coimbatore Institute of Engineering And Technology - CIET Coimbatore. The college offers only MBA, BTech, MTech, BArch, and MArch courses. Admission to these courses is based on scores obtained in entrance exams such as TANCET, GATE, etc. Applications for any of these exams are not currently open. However, the college also has some seats reserved for direct admission under the management quota. Direct admissions are currently open.

The cuisine at CIET Coimbatore hostel mess is mostly considered to be of good quality, hygienic, and having a variety of nice and healthy options. Often equated with home food the mess provides a variety of cuisines at affordable rates. A diverse menu with both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes is the focus of comments with some complimenting the dish for being delicious and nutritious. There is scope for improvement however as some students have noted that their taste is unbalanced.

The highest package offered till now for BTech students is INR 12 LPA, and the average package is around INR 5 LPA. Around 60% of the students get placed every year. Candidates must have completed 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories) in mathematics, physics and chemistry in order to be considered for a B.E. or B.Tech programme at CIET, Coimbatore. TNEA counseling is the main method of admission which is determined by TNEA rank and grades from the 12th grade. There is no admission exam needed for the selection process which takes into account the TNEA rank list. There are management quota seats available but they require a direct application and come with higher costs. Candidates with appropriate studies from the vocational stream are also eligible.

Both KCT Coimbatore and BMS Institute of Technology and Management are good options to pursue an MBA. However, in terms of affordability, KCT Coimbatore is more affordable since the tuition fee to pursue an MBA at KCT Coimbatore is INR 35,000, and the tuition fee to pursue an MBA at BMS Institute of Technology and Management is INR 7 lakh.
