If you are planning to do your Masters of Physiotherapy (MPT), SRM College of Physiotherapy is a good place to be as it presents all main specializations including Orthopedics, Neurology, and Sports Physiotherapy. This college has well-equipped infrastructure with young experienced faculty members and frequent exposures and partnerships with major hospital like SRM Medical college and Apollo. This can be described as useful practical experience, ingress to a career construction, which is deemed important. The course also provides a good placement record, most of the students get placed in top most hospitals and rehabilitation centers.

Considering the above facts the College of Physiotherapy in SRM Institute of Science and Technology offers 120 BPT seats. After these, he/she has to complete four years of this program, and a six month internship. For this only those students are eligible who have completed their higher secondary with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English as subject.

The fees structure for the Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) at College of Physiotherapy, SRM Institute of Science and Technology is about Rupees two Lacs for the two year programme irrespective of the specialization. This fee is inclusive of all the branches including Neurology, Orthopaedics, Cardiopulmonary Science, Sports, Pediatric physiotherapists, and many others.

In SRM College of Physiotherapy some branches are deemed to have a better placement scope than other branches such as Orthopedics and Neurology branches. These fields are in higher demand in hospitals, rehabilitation center and sport clinics. Graduates with specialisation interest in Orthopedics are placed in orthopedic hospitals and sports therapy units and Neurology specialists are taught in neuro-rehabilitation as well as multispecialty hospitals. Therefore, demand may sometimes be defined by individual skills, internships, and various market positionality.

The chances of getting admission in to the College of Physiotherapy in SRM University though not very stringent are moderate. Admission mostly depends on 10+2 main subjects consisting physics chemistry and biology and a minimum pass average of fifty percent. SRM has an online application portal through which students are offered an admission and some admission criteria maybe academic, interview among others. SRM is a prevalent institution, thus the availability of seats may not last for long, hence, applying and meeting the admission requirements may not be a big deal.

Candidates must hold BPT degree or equivalent degree (4 years + 6 months of compulsory internship on or before 31st May of that academic year) from UGC recognized University in India with minimum of 55% aggregate of marks or CGPA of 5.5 in qualifying examination. or more to get Admission for MPT in Orthopaedics programme offered by College of Physiotherapy SRM, and finally at the time of admission, a candidate has to submit the medical fitness certificate from an authorized Medical Officer certifying that the candidate is fit to undergo the academic program.
