Established in 1887, Allahabad University is a public central university situated Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. Being the fourth the oldest university in India, currently offers Bachelors, Masters as well as the doctoral degree in multiple streams such as arts, science, commerce, law, vocation, and computer application. Candidates interested in law courses can get admission to the BA LLB programme upon clearing the entrance test, conducted by the Allahabad University in the month of May (tentative). Such students must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognised university with minimum 45% aggregate in marks. Students seeking admission to BA LLB can register via online application process available at the official university website. The application process usually begins in the month of March every year and candidates can submit their forms until the first week of April. The candidates shortlisted in the university examination will be intimated for the counselling process.

Candidates should have passed an examination in 10+2 or 11+1 course under a recognised board of education or possess academic qualification recognised as equivalent to 10+2 or 11+1 by the Bar Council of India. Candidates belonging to general category must secure 45% marksin aggregate in the qualifying examination. For OBC and SC/ST category candidates, the minimum required aggregate is 42% and 40%, respectively.
