IIM Amritsar offers two-year MBA Human Resource programme. MBA is the flagship course of IIM Amritsar. Talking about its placement, the institute has not released the placement data specifically for HR. However, as per the latest placement statistics, more than 120 companies visited the institute campus during the 2023 placement session, which was almost 9% higher in comparison to 2022. Further, the IIM Amritsar average package for the 2023 drive stood at INR 16.51 LPA.

IIM Amritsar releases CAT percentile for MBA admission. Aspirants must score equal or above the specified percentile to get an interview call from the institute. Academic scores is a parameter and a component considered for calculating the final composite score. Once the PI round is over, candidates are selected based on their composite score. IIM Amritsar composite score include the PI score and Post PI score. The post-PI score for each candidate is calculated based on the aggregate scores obtained in PI, work experience, gender diversity and academic diversity. The pre-PI score is calculated based on CAT score, academic performance, gender diversity and work experience. Since, academic scores are an important part of selection, aspirants must score well. 

The seat intake for B.Tech at GNDU Regional Campus Jalandhar varies across specializations:

Computer Science Engineering: 80 seats with an 85% quota for Punjab residents and a 15% quota for outside Punjab.

Electronics and Communication Engineering: 30 seats,  no specific quota information readily available.

Both GNDU and MRSPTU are well-reputed colleges with unique strengths and weaknesses. MRSPTU is more flexible with its exam pattern, while GNDU follows the rule of a year back. The choice of college also depends on the course you will be studying. GNDU is better only if you are getting a seat in the GNDU campus itself (Amritsar). 

For branches like CSE, Electronics GNDU is a better choice. 

Guru Nanak Dev University is accredited by NAAC with 'A+' grade and is UGC-approved. 

And MRSPTU is accredited by NAAC with 'B+' grade .

So in my opinion GNDU is good as compared to MRSPTU.

Yes, IIM Amritsar provide equal opportunity to students to apply for scholarships. The IIM Amritsar scholarship recipient will continue to receive the allotted scholarship in the second year of the MBA programme as well only if the candidate secures a CGPA of not less than 2.96 in the first year.
