In which stream you are asking. If you are asking in terms of engineering it is the worst. Pharmacy also the worst. All together only these two courses are considered for placements. Other courses are general study courses so there is nothing like placement in those. Therefore by seeing this we can say placements in AU is the worst.

In Andhra, there are some good colleges if you get rank below 10,000. Those selected colleges are very good
but as it is university it also good.

There is no such restriction on General category students that they are not eligible. General category students generally have to score more to be eligible but even that criteria is very relaxed. AUS conduct their entrance exam for which you can refer here :- https://www.ausadmission.in.
