Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad (GECA) is an autonomous engineering institute in Maharashtra state India. It is affiliated with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathawada University and was established in 1960.

There is no cut-off prescribed by Government Polytechnic at Aurangabad for admissions into various courses that it conducts. Let me further explain. Admissions to different polytechnics across Maharashtra are centrally done by counselling by the directorate of technical education of the state of Maharashtra. Any student who has cleared the minimum criteria prescribed by this directorate can see admission. Admissions are of course given based on the merit list of the candidates drawn by this directory based on the marks of 10th. Nowhere does it say that this is the cut-off below which students need not apply. By looking into the website of the concerned institution you will come to know perhaps another important aspect which is a closing percentage which will give you an idea about your chances of getting admission.
