KLETech has got status of state university in the year 2015. The university has received many awards and rankings. The university was ranked in top 200 institute of the country by NIRF-2022. The university got place in top 25 India’s private universities by ATAL 2020. The university continues to perform well and provide quality education along with practical skills to the students.

B.V. Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology was established in 1947, later in 2015 the same college got status of state private university. The university has got an approval of UGC and AICTE to offers certain programmes. Located in Hubballi, the college functions as a campus of the university. Additionally, the university is also functional at two other campuses of Belgaumn and Bengaluru. The college has been renamed and got status of the university but is still popular with its former name.
