BA (Hons) is a three-year course offered at the UG level. The course is offered in six specialisations, including English, Psychology, Economics, History, Political Science and Sociology. Candidates must pass Class 12 in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Uttarakhand OBC category) and English as a subject to apply for BA (Hons) course. Admission to the course is based on merit in the last qualifying exam and PI round.

 Admission to LLM and PhD is based on entrance exam. For admission to all the other courses, merit in the last qualifying exam is considered. After the application process, the university considers the eligibility of the candidates and releases a merit list with the names of shortlisted candidates. Shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. Candidates need to pay a fee to confirm their seat in the university.

 IMS Unison offers 20 courses some of which are BBA, BA (Hons), BCA, PhD, MBA, etc. at UG, PG and PhD levels. The courses are offered across five schools in streams that include Management, Arts, Law, etc. In addition, candidates applying for UG courses must complete Class 12. For PG, candidates are required to complete graduation. Candidates can apply for any of the course online on the official website of the university.

Admission to all the programmes is either entrance or merit-based. Candidates are shortlisted based on the marks obtained in respective qualifying/ entrance exams, followed by GDPI and PI. Admission to various courses is based on merit and accepted entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are MAT, XAT, CAT, NMAT, CMAT, UPESMET, CUET-PG, CUET, UGAT, UPESMET UG, and others.

The seat intake for the BArch programme at Himgiri Zee University is 20.
