To be a part of cabin crew, you are required to take care of your physical appearance. Your weight, height, body structure, communication skills, skills like swimming, use of fire extinguishers and other emergency situation skills are required. For height, the minimum requirement is 5.5 feet.

Air hostess jobs are all about behavior and physical appearance. In next section we will talk about behavioral skills but here we look at some of the physical standards required by institutes.
Minimum height required must be 5.2 or 157 cm. Weight of the candidate must be in proportion to her height. Skin complexion does matter and it must fair to clear complexion.

12tha aggregate of one language and three best elective subjects would be considered as best four subjects (BFS). Environmental Education (ISC), Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Painting, Dance, Music, Physical Education, Home Science, Engineering Drawing and all other vocational subjects are not considered as BFS.

Their wages are paid with an extra amount of money for every hour that they fly extra than the minimum requirement for the month- about Rs. 600-800 per hour.
Layover allowances are also added to the monthly salary at 10 - 15 $ per day for long flights.
They also receive medical coverage and benefits. Free air passage is also provided to them.

One of my friends has joined the Preet Vihar Institute of Frankfinn and they first gave total guarantee to my friend for the job and then after he completed the course they just sidelined and said it depends on the candidate.
