The procedure to take B.Des admission at the National Institute of Fashion Technology Kannur (NIFT Kannur) is as follows:

Eligibility criteria:

Class 12th pass with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates).

A valid score in the NIFT Entrance Exam (NIFT-EE).

Application process:

NIFT Kannur is a government institute. It has a great infrastructure and is equipped with great facilities, well-equipped design studios, a well-stocked library, computer labs etc. It has been ranked 16 for Fashion Design by Outlook in 2019 and holds a good placement record as well. NIFT Kannur offers a BDes programme with a duration of four years in four specialisations. Candidates are required to appear for NIFT Entrance Exam and are accepted on the basis of merit. It has a great infrastructure and is equipped with great facilities, well-equipped design studios, a well-stocked library, computer labs etc. Like other NIFT campuses, it offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs and addmission to these programs is based on marks scored in NIFT Entrance Exam.
