Hi, according to my point of view NITs are the best government colleges in India.
NIT, Jamshedpur you can choose. It has a great environment. A good to go sized campus, and in the vicinity of the market place. Co-operative people, great security and greenery all around. Experienced professors: In core branches like mechanical and civil we have some really experienced professors. With teaching experience more than probably your age.
Great Hostels: NIT Jamshedpur has one of the best hostel facilities in the country. Two mega hostels, with an accommodation of 1500 students (two buildings, 7 storey). Almost throughout your stay at NIT Jamshedpur you will get a single seater room. Which is a rare case for government colleges. Even the old hostels are well maintained and built.
Great Food: If you are from North India, I BET you will not complain about the food. Talking in relative terms, NIT Jamshedpur has better food than almost all colleges, with food being provided 4 times a day. Decent Placements: NIT Jamshedpur has great placements, with more than 120 companies visiting the campus every year you get to see some really great packages. Two students bagged 67 LPA in 2015.
