In case the candidate cancels his or her admission, the fee is refunded as per the below policy of SOT PDEU:
- If a candidate applies for cancellation of his/ her admission through email/ in-person, the fees
paid shall be refunded after deduction of INR 1,000 as administrative charges, only if such
vacated seat gets filled up the latest by the start of the semester. - Candidates shall be required to submit the original receipt of the fees paid for refund in the
prescribed form.

SOT PDEU admission to M.Tech course is based on GATE score. Candidates who have not qualified GATE are shortlisted based on their performance in the personal interview round. Phase-I of the admission is for GATE qualified candidates. Non-GATE-qualified candidates can participate in Phase-II of the admission.
The university prepares a merit list for GATE qualified and non-GATE qualified candidates based on performance in personal interview round and GATE score. Once selected, candidates need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

No, candidates can take admission in M.Tech programme of SOT PDEU without GATE score also. The university accepts admission for non-GATE qualified candidates in Phase-II. However, the application process is common. Candidates who have not qualified GATE are shortlisted based on their performance in the personal interview round. The merit list for such aspirants are prepared based on PI performance. Candidate who has applied for more than one branch has to appear in personal interview for all the respective branches separately
