Candidates have to appear for entrance examination and counselling wherever applicable. For NIET Diploma admission, candidates have to appear for JEECUP, and for B.Tech and B.Pharma, students have to appear for JEE Main and UPCET, respectively, followed by counselling.

NIT admission generally begins after the declaration of final phase JEE Main result. To participate in NIT admission for BTech, candidates will have to complete the JoSAA registration and choice filling process. According to the information available from the official website of the college, around 300+ companies participated in NIET campus recruitment and offered the NIET's the highest salary package of Rs. 58 LPA. The institute has not released the overall average package details of 2023. However, top 10% students offered average package stood at INR 15.86 LPA, top 25% students offered average package was INR 14.31 LPA and so on, while in 2022 the overall average package offered was INR 9.38 LPA. Shortlisted candidates must register online for UPCET counselling and select NIET as their preferred college. Seats will be allotted as per the choices filled and the scores of UPCET. Candidates have to submit the documents for verification and pay the fees once the seat is allotted.

As per AKTU norms, a candidate must have clearly passed 10+2 level examination from any recognised Board/ University in each compulsory subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) securing minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST) in aggregate in required three subjects
