The tuition fees for M.Tech courses at IIITM Gwalior range from INR 2.4 Lacs to INR 7.9 Lacs and the tuition fees for M.Tech at NIT Patna range from INR 1.4 Lacs to INR 6.3 lakh. Conclusively,  the tuition fees of NIT Patna are more affordable compared to IIITM Gwalior. It is tough to compare which institute is easier to get admission into for M.Tech courses among IIIT Pune and IIITM Gwalior because the M.Tech admission process for both institute is almost the same, in which candidates are required to complete their BTech/ BE degree from recognised institute/ university, with a minimum of 60-75% and then candidates have to appear for the GATE entrance examination, followed by CCMT counselling.

Additionally, the number of M.Tech seats offered at IIIT Pune is 24, whereas at IIITM Gwalior it is 231. Hence, there could be a possibility that the institute with a lesser number of seats has tough competition

While preparing the IIITM Gwalior M.Tech, the authorities will consider examination and admission-related factors. The listed factors will be checked and considered by the authorities while determining the cutoff of IIITM Gwalior M.Tech - previous years' cutoff trends, difficulty level of exam, total number of qualified candidates, total number of candidates applying for a specific course or institute, number of seats available for admission, etc. After checking all of these factors, the authorities will prepare the M.Tech specialisation-wise, IIITM Gwalior GATE cutoff for M.Tech course.

Currently, IIITM Gwalior has not released the cutoff for the M.Tech course 2025 on the basis of GATE ranks/scores. However, to get an idea about the competitiveness of cutoff in the previous years, candidates can check the below table:

Course202220232024
MTech in Wireless Networking and Computing358359364

Conclusively, the IIITM Gwalior shows a fluctuating trend over these mentioned years. In 2024, the cutoff increases by 5 numbers, and the competition gets slightly easier. However, this cutoff does not prove anything so assured. Because the difference between these years is negligible.
