HPTU provides scholarship to eligible students to pursue their studies. Applicants must be a resident of Himachal Pradesh and must be financially backward or ward of an employee of the state Government. There are many scholarships available for students to pursue their chosen streams. The University also offers scholarship offered by the UGC and AICTE to criteria based deserving or qualifying students.

Each State have few excellent engineering colleges, HPTU is one of them.As per the Industry estimates an average cost of four year engineering programme in other colleges charges 8-10 lakhs.Where as  HPTU charges Nominal Fees 1.97 lakhs.Well experienced Professor, industry exposure and institution placement are the best factors to join this university.

HPTU placement procedure starts generally when students are in their final year of studies.Every year a large number of students are placed in several well known companies in India and around the world.Every year, the training and placement department is in charge of inviting Big companies to the campus. Mock interviews, group talks, personality development tests, aptitude test are also organised by the training and placement department to help graduate become  a industry expert.

Himachal Pradesh Technical University established in year 2011, is a state governed University.NAAC has accredited Himachal Pradesh Technical University.NIRF has ranked Himachal Pradesh Technical University  ranked 3rd in Hamirpur and 645th in India.The University was ranked 14th out of 25 in the state of Himachal Pradesh.The University has been ranked 645th out of 876 in India.The University is well-known not only in the country but also around the world.HPTU amenities are offered with the goal of facilitating students in overall development.

Himachal Pradesh Technical University is one of the best Technical University located at Hamirpur.The college provides great placement in IT courses. Admission to B.Tech is based on merit score of the entrance test or qualifying exam JEE. Candidate must have scored a minimum 50%  marks in 10+2 from recognised board of education

 MBA/ MBA Tourism and Hospitality is a two year full-time Postgraduate programme offered by Himachal Pradesh Technical University.The  required  marks is 50% in graduation in any stream.Selection is done on the basis of scores of National level entrance test first.Then on the basis of HPCET scores on the basis of qualifying exam if the seats are still vacant.
