IIT Mandi pays special attention to an active campus life. From multiple sports comprising football, cricket, swimming, badminton etc. to the student clubs covering almost every cultural and technical aspect, IIT Mandi also develops separate skill sets other than the course work which turn out to be valuable life lessons for students.

IIT Mandi merit-cum-means (MCM) scholarship is availabl for BTech and BS candidates. The criteria varies for general/ SC/ ST/ OBC candidates. Candidates who get selected become eligible for a sum equivalent to the tuition fee paid for two semesters. The selected candidates also get INR 10,000 as lumpsum every year with the MCM scholarship.
