Seats will be filled on the basis of scores of national level entrance test first, next on the basis of HPCET scores and if the seats still remain vacant, then on the basis of marks of the qualifying exam.The university conducts HPCET for admission to its various programmes. Himachal Pradesh Technical University accepts the scores of JEE Main, GATE, GPAT, CAT, MAT, CMAT and other national-level management exams. The total number of faculty members in the university is 2.

Placements: About 70% of students were placed in our course. The salary package offered was 12 LPA to 15 LPA.it began my HPU MBA journey during the middle of my career, and it has been one of the best decisions that I have made. The programme allowed me to sharpen my analytical and critical thinking skills that I can apply and has also provided flexibility for time with family.

Placements: 75 percent of the students were placed in our college. The highest package offered was 3.27 LPA and the lowest was 2.35 LPA. Cipla is the top recruiting company for our course.The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA. The average salary package offered was 3.3 LPA. Most students were placed in Capgemini and Wipro. Capgemini, Wipro, and Infosys etc., are the top recruiters.

However, for combined courses like B.Tech & B.Entry-level computer Science engineers in India can expect an average salary ranging from INR 3.5 to 6 Lacs per annum. With 1-4 years of experience, the salary range increases to INR 5-8 Lacs annually. Mid-level professionals with 5-9 years of experience can earn approximately INR 8-15 Lacs annually.

The admission is based on competitive examination which comprises of applications ratings, Management Aptitude Test (objective type having multiple choice Questions), group discussion and personal interview. The admission to M.B.A. degree course shall be made in the order of merit of Valid Score of National Level Tests CAT, CMAT, MAT etc. respectively
