Presently,  JUIT Solan offers BTech, MTech, MSc, and PhD in various specialisations. 

Admission to UG, PG and PhD courses in JUIT Solan is conducted through written entrance examinations followed by PI.

The flagship course of JUIT Solan is BTech. JUIT Solan offers BTech in seven specialisations. 

Master’s degree in any branch of Engineering /Technology from a recognised university with at least 60% aggregate is the eligibility criteria for PhD in JUIT Solan.  

The first year fee for the BTech programme is INR 2.2 Lacs at JUIT Solan.

The institute offers PhD courses in the streams of Engineering, Science, Humanities & Social Sciences. These courses are offered in multiple specialisations, including Mechanical Design, Fluid Thermal, Manufacturing, Materials Engineering, Atmospheric Science, Electrical Engineering, etc. Admission to all these programmes is entrance-based.

No,  GATE is not compulsory and is only one of the criteria for admission. Aspirants with a valid UGC NET/CSIR NET can also apply. Candidates without any valid national-level exam score can also appear for the written test conducted by the institute.

Candidates must check the eligibility requirements before filling out the IIT Mandi PhD application form. Admission to the courses is based on performance in GATE/ UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET/written test followed by a personal interview round. Eligible students can further apply by visiting IIT Mandi official website (iitmandi.ac.in), uploading documents, and paying the application fees.

The technology institute facilitates Merit-cum-Means scholarships, Institute scholarships, and many more scholarships to students pursuing MSc from IIT Mandi. It is necessary that each applicant meets the eligibility requirements for the scholarships. Candidates can also apply for scholarships available in National Scholarship Portal as per the eligibility conditions.

Aspirants must meet the eligibility conditions as prescribed by the institute and qualifying exam conducting body. IIT Mandi shortlists students for MSc based on their scores in the IIT JAM entrance exam. Further, the shortlisted candidates are called for CCMN Counselling. At the time of counselling, seat allotment is carried out on the basis of exam score, seat intake, reservation policy, and cut-off.
