hi,
No, direct second-year admission through Diploma Stream Entry (DSY) is not available at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay for B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering. IITs generally do not offer lateral entry into the second year after a diploma. To study B.Tech at IIT Bombay, diploma holders must appear for JEE Advanced after qualifying JEE Main and meet the required eligibility criteria. Admission is granted only to the first year through JoSAA counselling. Diploma students can also explore other reputed universities that provide lateral entry opportunities into engineering programs.

hi,
Whether hostel and food expenses are included in the total course fee depends on the university and the fee structure mentioned by the institution. In many colleges and universities, tuition fees are listed separately from hostel accommodation, mess charges, laundry, security deposits, and other personal expenses. Some institutes provide an inclusive annual package, while others charge hostel and food fees separately every semester or year. Therefore, students should carefully check the official fee breakup before admission to understand what is covered and what additional expenses may apply.

For foreign nationals, including students from Nepal, the “10% supernumerary seats” in IITs mean additional seats are created specifically for foreign students. These seats are over and above the regular seats available to Indian candidates, so foreign applicants do not reduce the seats of Indian students. To apply, you must qualify through JEE Advanced under the foreign national category and meet eligibility requirements. Admission competition is separate from Indian categories, and cutoffs may differ. Foreign candidates usually do not participate in reservation categories like OBC, SC, or ST applicable to Indian citizens.

B.F.Tech (Apparel Production) at Lovely Professional University is kinda different from the usual fashion designing courses, because it leans more into the technical, manufacturing and business side, than on just creativity and sketching. In fashion designing, students mostly keep their focus on illustration, styling, trends, draping, and that whole creative design mindset, ok. But B.F.Tech is more about garment production, textile technology, merchandising, quality control, CAD, production planning and the industrial operations side of things.
So yeah, fashion designing usually feels more art- and creativity-oriented, while B.F.Tech fe
