Speaking as a CSE Student at Lovely Professional University  (LPU), practical and hands-on learning is strongly integrated into the B.Tech CSE curriculum rather than being limited to theory classes.

In CSE, most core subjects (like Data Structures, DBMS, OS, CN, AI, etc.) have dedicated lab components where students implement concepts through coding assignments and mini-projects. From the 2nd year onward, project-based learning becomes more serious, students work on real applications such as web apps, mobile apps, ML models, or cloud deployments. Specializations like AI, Data Science, and Cyber Security include tool-

The tuition fee for B.Tech (CSE) at Lovely Professional University  (LPU) is generally around ₹2.4–₹2.8 Lacs per year without scholarship.

Since you have qualified LPUNEST, your exact fee will depend on the scholarship slab you fall under (based on your LPUNEST score and 12th marks). LPU usually offers scholarships ranging from around 10% to 50% (or more in top slabs) on tuition fees.

So after scholarship, your annual tuition fee could reduce to approximately:

Around ₹1.3–₹2.2 Lacs per year  (depending on scholarship category).

For 4 years, total tuition may range

As a B.Tech CSE Student, Yes,  Lovely Professional University  (LPU) conducts regular on-campus placements for B.Tech CSE.

For CSE, companies visit the campus every year for roles like Software Developer, Data Analyst, Cloud Engineer, Cyber Security Analyst, etc. The university has a dedicated placement cell that organizes aptitude training, coding practice, mock interviews, and company-specific preparation before students sit for drives.

LPU has a much larger campus, more CSE specializations (AI, Data Science, Cyber Security, etc.), a bigger recruiter pool, and stronger national-level exposure. Many national and multinational IT companies visit LPU, and the coding culture, hackathons, and internship opportunities are broader in scale. Competition is higher, but opportunities are also more.

JIET Jodhpur is a decent regional college and can be suitable if you prefer staying near home and want lower overall expenses. However, in terms of overall brand value, industry exposure, and number of placement opportunities in CSE, LPU generally has an advantage.

So if your priority

The lowest rank to get into DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai, for the BAMS course was 961682 for the General AI category. Hence, students who want admission for the same, need to secure a rank of 961682 or preferably below to increase their chances of admission. Students should note that other categories will have different cutoffs accordingly.

CU is known for competitive placement records and strong industry tie-ups, especially in recent years. It has good coding culture and decent exposure to tech companies.

On the other hand, LPU offers a larger campus ecosystem, more CSE specializations (AI, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud, etc.), and a wider recruiter base visiting the campus. The placement training structure at LPU is also well organized.

Overall, if you want slightly broader exposure and specialisation flexibility, LPU may have a small edge.
