Application process will require one to visit the website of NCE, download the application form, fill the form and upload scanned copies of documents that include 10 th /12 th mark sheets and community certificate. The applicants would have to provide the stipulated fee online. The eligible students are then admitted to the TNEA counseling procedures of government quota seats; lateral-entry candidates require a different system. Other entrance scores (e.g.: TANCET or MAT) and personal interviews may be required by the management quota candidates.

Applicants are allowed to join NCE through the formal process of application. Candidates who have studied 10+2 Science with mandated marks (45%/40%), can apply online in Anna University TNEA counseling after filling in the mandatory NCE option and wait to be allotted a seat. Lateral entry admission can be taken by holding a Diploma or B.Sc and the appropriate transcripts would have to be provided. During counseling, applicants are also required to provide documents and give fees. Management quota seats are given based on the academics and an interview arranged by the institute.

Most of the questions are same, only the order is changed. For example if in one set, one question was numbered 7, then in another set the same question can be number 21 and vice versa. However, 2 or 3 questions may be unique too, and then there may be a few same questions, which are asked in a twisted way. For example, one question in one set, and then there will be another question in another set which will be altered or twisted abit, but the question remains the same, and so does the answer.

Yes, you can still get admission to DIET Dumkal without WBJEE, but only through management quota:
10% of B.Tech seats are reserved for management quota—these don't require WBJEE rank .
However, you must have passed 10+2 with PCM and meet eligibility (45% aggregate) .
For lateral entry, Diploma or B.Sc + JELET qualification works.
Direct management admissions typically involve contacting the college admissions office, paying higher fees, and submitting required documents.
