Admission to the Hi-Tech Institute of Engineering and Technology can be moderately competitive. The college offers only BTech, MBA, MCA, and MTech courses. Admission to all these courses are done based on the scores obtained in entrance exams such as JEE Main exam for BTech and GATE for MTech. The quality of food in the hostel mess of Hi-Tech Institute of Engineering and Technology is not considered so good; it is considered average. The hostel is located in the middle of the forest, but everything is available nearby. The college also has a canteen. The food served in the canteen is also of average quality.

Yes, Axis colleges has a separate placement cell. The cell keeps organising workshops to prepare students for jobs and internships. It also invites various companies to participate in the placement drives. The highest package offered at the college is INR 12 LPA, and the average package is around INR 4 LPA. Admission to BTech and B.E. courses is based on the MP BE scores, with closing ranks stood between 39760 and 142058 for the General AI category candidates. For General Home State category candidates, the cutoff ranged from 58793 to 157297. To be specific, B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering closed at a rank of 58793, whereas B.E. in Civil Engineering saw its closing rank at 157297.
