Admission to Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Engineering and Technology (DYPIET), Pune, is competitive and merit-based through entrance examination scores such as MHT-CET or JEE Main. The candidates have to go through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The cutoff marks are program- and category-wise. For instance, the cutoff for Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering was on average in the range 90-95 percentile for general students in recent years.
