Sri Vasavi Institute of Engineering and Technology (SVIET) admits B.Tech students through EAMCET counseling under Convenor's quota. You need to complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing at least 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories). Diploma holders may also apply for lateral entry. To be eligible for admission to the BE/BTech course at University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kurukshetra University, the candidate has to score a minimum of 45% aggregate in class 12 in a relevant stream from any recognised board. University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kurukshetra University, offers BTech and MTech courses. Admission to MTech courses is done directly based on the scores obtained in the previous qualifications. Admission to the BTech course at the college is done based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main exam, followed by HSTES counseling. It depends on the course in which the student is interested. University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kurukshetra University, offers BTech and MTech courses. Admission to the BTech course at the college is done based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main exam, followed by HSTES counseling. Admission to MTech courses is done directly based on the scores obtained in the previous qualifications.

The highest package at UIET Kurukshetra University has varied in recent years. In 2023, the highest package reported was INR 20 LPA, specifically for a B.Tech CSE student. For the 2024 placement drive, the highest package reached INR 12 LPA (offered by BEL), while some sources mention up to INR 11.4 LPA for 2025 placements. There was an outlier mentioned of INR 44 LPA (off-campus) for a CSE student.

No, for regular B.E. / B.Tech admission at UIET Kurukshetra University, you need a valid JEE Main score and must participate in HSTES centralized counseling. OLET (Online Entrance Test) is specifically for lateral entry admissions to the second year of the B.Tech programme for Diploma holders. However, direct admission to B.Tech Biotechnology might be possible based on 10+2 PCB marks.

UIET Kurukshetra University is generally considered a decent option for engineering. It has varying rankings across different agencies (e.g.100 by IIRF 2024 for B.Tech, 174 by India Today 2024). Placements are also good, with the highest package of INR 20 LPA in 2023 and an average of around INR 5.3 LPA. Faculty are reported to be well-educated and supportive. Infrastructure is decent, but some reviews mention areas for improvement.
