Indian students need to maintain minimum 85% attendance to comply with the Ireland student visa regulations. Attendance is monitored strictly. Students who fall below this mark may be reported to the Irish Immigration Service and this may also affect their visa renewal.

Cooking for oneself is usually the better and more cost-effective option at the Griffith College Ireland. Eating out can cost between EUR 15 and EUR 20 (INR 1.6 K and INR 2.2 K) per meal.

Shared kitchen facilities are available at on-campus residences.

Yes, Griffith College does maintain housing options for Indian students. Students can stay as part of the Griffith Halls of Residence (GHR) on its Dublin campus.

The halls come with self-catering apartments with 24-hour security, on the South Circular Road, a short walk from the Dublin city centre.

No, it is rare to get a 100% funding for your education at NCI Dublin. However, Indian students can secure a really good amount scholarship at this institution.

The students can apply for the NCI 75th Anniversary International Student Scholarships, which is roughly around EUR 7,500 (INR 8.25L). Or they can also apply for the UG Academic Scholarship (EUR 2K to EUR 3K).

There is no need of a separate application; the applicants are automatically considered upon application (it usually requires scores above 65 to 70%).

The NCI acceptance rate for Indian students is not released but as per an unofficial source, which is around 53%

This would mean that the National College of Ireland is a difficult institution to get into and international students are required to meet the admission requirements as given below -

  • A min GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • English language proficiency
  • SAT or ACT
  • Sufficient funds
  • Min age of 18 years

No, Trinity College Dublin is not really better than Harvard as Harvard's ranking is generally better than TCD.

Actually, Trinity is known as the Harvard of Ireland which means that this is also a great institution for higher learning.

After you receive a conditional offer letter from UCD Ireland, this means that you have gotten a temporary spot and are under consideration for admission.

But that depends on you meeting the specific academic or language-related requirements.

  • UG Students: May 1, 2026
  • Graduate Students: Jun 1, 2026

Indian UG students who wish to apply for the University College Dublin admissions are generally required to apply directly via the UCD online application system and not the CAO portal

The admission portal named CAO is mainly used by EU students. So the students can meet all the University College Dublin admission requirements and then apply directly via the official portal.
