The Kashmir University highest package has not been released officially. However, the course-wise median package has been disclosed in the NIRF report 2024. The highest median package for 2023 stood at INR 8 LPA offered to UG (3-year) students. The table below depicts the median package for the University of Kashmir placements 2023:

IUST accepts the joint entrance examination (JEE ) Mains score for the BTech admissions. Other undergraduate and post graduate courses are accepted through the CUET PG and CUET UG examinations. For the MBA course, the CMAT/MAT examinations are considered for the admission.

The cutoff for NIT Srinagar's BTech Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) programme differs each year. In 2023, the Round 1 and Last Round closing ranks for General All India category applicants were 24006 and 20540, respectively. In 2022, these rankings were 23915 and 17811, respectively. The starting rank for CSE in Jammu & Kashmir reserved seats was 523, with a closing rank of 1199 in 2023. Furthermore, the total cutoff for JEE Main at NIT Srinagar spans between 3161 and 6551.

SMVDU merit list is based on valid score of (CAT/MAT/Feb/May/CMAT 2024 along with score obtained in GD/PI in first phase. For vacant seats, score obtained in CUET (PG) 2024 by candidate along with score obtained in GD/PI will be considered. SMVDU admission process are both entrance and merit-based followed by counselling. SMVDU accepts the admission on the basis of CUET exam for most of the UG & PG courses. For few courses such as BTech, MBA, M.Tech admission are based on JEE/CAT/MAT/GATE/CCMT.
