Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi was inaugurated by Late Smt. Indira Gandhi former Prime Minister of India on June 26, 1981. It is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC). It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Agricultural, and Forestry.
BAU Ranchi cut off is based on the marks decided by the University and the number of candidates appeared for exam. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks to apply for further admission process.

According to the university board Students are admitted in unreserved and various reserved categories strictly on the basis of merit in the respective category through an entrance examination as per the reservation rules of Jharkhand state. Semester system of education is followed in the University.

The total tuition fee of the IIT Dhanbad MSc programme ranges from INR 36,000 to INR 54,000. IIT Dhanbad is ranked 11 among the top Engineering Institutes in India by NIRF. The Institute offer M.Tech in 16 specialisations including popular ones such as CSE, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc. The highest package offered in 2020 placement is INR 50 LPA.

IIT Dhanbad has a total seat intake of 596 which is divided into all 16 specialisations of the course. To get admission to M.Tech in IIT Dhanbad, students need to be eligible to apply for the course. The Institute accepts admission based on GATE entrance scores followed by COAP counselling. Students who are graduated from IIT are exempted from the GATE entrance score requirement. Hence, for admission, students need to apply for GATE by visiting the GOAPS website.
