NIFT was originally established in 1996 under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. NIFT Jodhpur is one of 17 campuses established under NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology). This college was established in 2010 and offers postgraduate, undergraduate, and Continuing Education (CE) programmes to students. Earlier it was functioning from its temporary campus at Sojati Gate and now it is running from its permanent campus at Karwar. National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Jodhpur was established in 2010 and is a public college. So any student who passes the eligibility criteria can get admission. The students, therefore, need not worry about the fee as the fee is not high. This makes the college's education accessible to all eligible students. NIFT Jodhpur is one of the best Design colleges present in India. A lot of students from outside India also visit this campus for getting vast knowledge which this public college is known for.

The opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, opening rank was 9905 and closing rank was 11496. The cutoffs are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 17756 and 19173. Admission to BTech in Chemical Engineering in IIT Jodhpur - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Jodhpur - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category were- 3873 for OBC, 2105 for SC, 1011 for ST, 1508 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

"IIT Jodhpur - Indian Institute of Technology will release 6 rounds of JEE Advanced cutoffs for admission to BTech in Chemical Engineering. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:
- The JEE Advanced score of the candidate
- The category of the candidate
- The number of seats available in the course

For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Materials Engineering was 14435 which is very close to this range. This was for the General category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut-offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to IIT Jodhpur - Indian Institute of Technology.
