Vimala College admission is merit-based for a majority of the programme.  The college offers 16 UG courses in B.A., BSc & BCom, M.A. MSW, MCom and MSc. Few courses, such as MSW requires Entrance Test and Group Discussion process. For other courses, final selection is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination followed by a Personal Interview

MGU Kerala BCom Model I: Finance and Taxation course curriculum has two complementary subjects. The hours per week for each of these courses is four. A credit of three is attached with each of the subjects. The complementary subjects offered are Principles of Business Decisions and Banking and Insurance.

Farook Institute of Management Studies does not allow direct entry of students into its MBA. Eligible students are selected according to entrance test scores like CAT, CMAT, or KMAT. An applicant must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50 percent marks in any discipline from an accredited university. After passing the score in the entrance test, candidates face a group discussion and personal interview in the selection process. Work experience is not mandatory but would add strength to the application.

Mahatma Gandhi University releases its application form generally in the month of May. Hence, the BCom application form can be expected to be out in the second week of May as per the past years' schedule. The university will release the official notification for the admission schedule on its official website.

MG University has a total of 11760 seats for its BSc programmes. Since, admission to this course is under the MGU CAP admission process, 50% of the seats are reserved for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS category candidates. The candidates applying for admission under these categories are required to submit the relevant documents as well. Moreover, the given seat count is as per the official website/sanctioning body.
