The programme enhances the educational qualities and techniques and makes you learn about teaching methods.

To pursue D.Ed course, you must pass your 12th exam from a recognised board or equivalency. After competing D.Ed, you have multiple choices to start your career. A:

Absolutely! One of the best parts of D.El.Ed. is that it's not just theory but there is a lot of practical learning that you will go through. In both the years, you will be doing:

  • Classroom observations
  • Internships in primary/upper primary schools
  • Practice teaching (micro-teaching sessions)
  • Lesson plan creation and demo classes

It prepares you for real classroom challenges. You'll also get feedback from experienced teachers and mentors during your internship.

Q:   Is English necessary for doing D.El.Ed.?
A:

Not necessarily. The D.El.Ed course is offered in Hindi, English and even in regional languages depending on the state.

For example:

  • UP, Bihar, MP – Hindi
  • West Bengal – Bengali
  • South Indian states – Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu
  • Some private/central colleges – English

So you can choose the language you’re most comfortable with.

Q:   Can I give D.El.Ed exam in English version? Can I write all my D.El.Ed exam papers in English version?
A:

Hi,

Question papers are set in both Hindi and English in the exam of D.EL.ED except for the languages in which they will be set as under:

Teaching subject Medium
EnglishEnglish
HindiHindi
UrduUrdu
PunjabiPunjabi
SanskritSanskrit
  • It means candidates should write there as follows:
  • In English, in the case of teaching English
  • In Urdu, in the case of teaching Urdu
  • In Hindi, in the case of teaching Hindi
  • In Punjabi, in the case of teaching Punjabi
  • In Sanskrit in the case of teaching of Sanskrit

It means one can write exam of D.EL.ED in English only for the English language.

Hope it helps you

Good luck!

Q:   Which course is better in teaching field among D.El.Ed and MA?
A:

D.El.Ed is a certificate teacher training program which can be done after completing your 12th. After completing this course you are eligible to teach at lower (elementary) level schools. They may find work at institutes imparting elementary level education, like Government schools, Private schools, Nursery, Coaching/Private tuition classes and Daycare centers. It is always better to go for higher studies to have better career prospects. Doing MA would be better options as you will get an opportunity to work in colleges, schools and universities after clearing other criteria. After completing your MA you can also go for the doctoral program.
