NIT Calicut has a seat intake of 75 for the full-time MSc course offered in three specialisations. The institute reserves 25 seats for each specialisation. In addition, the institute reserves 5% seats for PwD category candidates followed by norms of the Government of India.

The MSc course admission at NIT Calicut is an entrance-based. Only the aspirants with a valid score of IIT JAM can apply for an MSc course at NIT Calicut. The selected candidates further need to take part in CCMN counselling for seat allotment. For IIT JAM, candidates can apply online.

As per unofficial sources, the total tuition fee of the five-year BArch course offered at NIT Calicut is INR 6.25 lakh. The hostel charges are up to INR 3.41 Lacs and a one-time fee payment of INR 31,500 is also required for admission.
