For pursuing Ph.D, you must have completed Master's degree in Sociology.
You will also have to qualify the UGC ENT Exam to become a research or to pursue Ph.D.
So, if you are not UGC NET qualified candidate, then fill up the UGC NET Application form and start preparing for it.
The UGC NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) is conducted twice a year by NTA (National Testing Agency).

There is no parallel course in CUSAT.

As per IIST Admission Norms, you need to have at least 5% in Jee Advance exam. Hence only JEE mains would not be sufficient. Detailed procedure you can get on the website.

Yes. IIM-K provided 100% campuses placements.

See, the best placement is of BITS-Goa and after that comes NIT-Calicut. But the average package of both has a lot more difference. BITS-Goa has an average pack of 3.25 LPA, whereas, NIT-Calicut offers 2.75 LPA only.

A) Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in any discipline with 50% aggregate mark or equivalent CGPA.
b) 3 Years of managerial/ entrepreneurial/ professional experience after graduation as on 31st October 2018 (Last date to apply online for the programme).

Admission to the programme is based on a personal interview (through an interactive live learning platform of TPL), evaluation of the profile and statement of purpose (SOP).

Which programme you are referring to?

3 years work experience after graduation as on 31st October 2018 is mandatory to apply for 2019 batch.

If you do not want to leave your state, then don't aim for IITs and NITs.
