One of the best NITs in India.
Placements: Placement in our course was extremely awesome. The highest package offered in our course was nearly 48 LPA. The average package was around 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Larsen & Turbo, Reliance Construction, etc. Around 70% of students also got internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course were extremely good. Central library was present. Wi-Fi was enabled on campus. Labs were available with well-equipped instruments. The facilities available in the hostel were also good. Sports ground was available.
Faculty: Professors of our course were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in their respective domains. Teaching quality of our faculty members was good. Course curriculum was relevant. Semester examination was not easy. Around 90% of students passed.

Vibrant campus life of NITC.
Placements: NIT Calicut offers decent placements. But the percentage of students getting internships is very low. The highest package is around 40 LPA, and the average package is around 10 LPA. CSE offers the highest placements for the students. Many top companies recruit students from NITC.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is pretty organised and beautiful. But the faculty members in the lab are pretty outdated. Most of the equipments gives wrong measurements. Hostel facilities are very good. Food in the mess is also pretty good. Hostel is worth the money.
Faculty: Faculty members at NITC are well-experienced and educated. Most of them have industrial experience too. The course curriculum is updated every now and then so that students are learning up-to-date information which is very useful. In each semester, we have a lot of exams both practical and theoretical.
Other: I chose this course because this was what I could afford with my rank in JEE. The campus life at Nitc is top-notch. We don't have any restrictions on campus, and we have a lot of fests.

The campus is dull when there is no fest. Everything is in the hands of faculty on campus.
Placements: Around 97% of students who applied for placements got it. Students need to keep their GPA above 7. Learning coding will be helpful. Students speaking skills matter a lot. The average salary package is decent, not like 1 crore per annum or 2 crore per annum. Doing an internship doesn't matter much during placements.
Infrastructure: Food and hostel are good, but the buildings are old as it is an old establishment in our college. Campus is good, but I find it outdated. Facilities seem very old compared to the fancy private institutions.
Faculty: We just go for attendance. Teachers tend to teach, but we don't understand anything. Some professors are really great. Assignments are very important and they affect your marks. Constant learning is required. Midsem exams are tough.

An overview of NIT Calicut.
Placements: NIT Calicut offers good placements. But recently the placements have gradually decreased. CSE offers the best placements followed by ECE and EEE. The average package is about lakhs, and the highest is 44 LPA this year. In CSE, almost hundred percent of students get placed.
Infrastructure: NIT Calicut provides very neat hostels and infrastructure facilities. The food provided in the hostel is also good. They provide both Northern and Southern food. Sports facilities on the campus are average compared to other institutions. There is a healthcare center on campus for students and faculty members.
Faculty: Faculty members at NITC are well-experienced and educated. Every teacher is highly qualified. The course curriculum is very well updated, and it changes at regular intervals of time. Semester exams are not that much difficult. You can score easily if you study properly.
Other: The campus life at NITC is so much better than at any other NIT. In South India, the largest cultural fest is happening in NIT namely Ragam and technical fest Tathva.

NITC is a dream university for every JEE aspirant because it has good facilities and faculty.
Placements: Almost 70+ students are placed from the 2021–2025 batch B21, with a placement percentage of over 45%. The highest package is 34.1 LPA, the lowest is 5.9 LPA, and the average is over 12 LPA. Larsen and Toubro are one of the top recruiters. Internships are mainly for 3rd and 4th-year students, and almost all students get one. Civil engineers with specific skills like coding are in demand.
Infrastructure: The campus is completely covered by Wi-Fi, which can be accessed using our institute email and password. Labs, libraries, common computer center for all NITC students, and classrooms are all advanced. Even though I am a day scholar, I have had lunch many times at the hostel mess, and it is very good and hygienic. Faculty members and staff also have their lunch at the hostel mess. Non-hostellers need to pay Rs. 70 for lunch.
Faculty: Professors are always available when needed. They are all graduates from highly prestigious universities around the world, and their teaching style is unique compared to other colleges. From the first semester itself, they try to involve students as much as possible by including core subjects in the syllabus. The difficulty of semester exams depends on the subject, some core subjects are very hard to understand, making those exams challenging. Except for one or two subjects, all others follow a relatively fair marking system, and the pass percentage is 40%.
Other: Civil engineering is the only course I can take at this time based on my JEE score. It offers many career opportunities within India, and it’s also possible to start a self-owned company with a relatively low initial investment. There should be more inclusion of coding, AI, and similar technologies to make the job easier and to maintain its value in the future. NITC is mainly famous for its cultural and technological fests, which happen once every year. These are organized by students themselves and are considered some of the best fests in South India. The college provides fee waivers for students based on their annual income and category.

It is the best college because of faculty members.
Placements: Placements here are good, but not perfect. The highest salary package offered was 31 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 14 LPA. I am not sure about the companies, but sometimes the placement rates are high, though not every time. It is still a better college for placements compared to many local colleges.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure here is full of trees and enjoys frequent rains. Those who like this rainy condition can join here. The weather is very good. Hostel rooms do not have Wi-Fi, but they have Ethernet connections for PCs and laptops. Hostel room structure is good.
Faculty: Faculty members here at NIT Calicut are good, but not perfect. It is okay to join here as it is better than many other colleges, but not all. Exams are tough, but solving them helps boost memory. Teachers are kind and supportive.
