Admission for all the courses is based on various national-level entrance exams, followed by the counselling sessions of the respective courses. For courses such as BTech, MTech, and MBA,  Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (IIITM) Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh accepts valid scores of JEE Main, CAT, and GATE, respectively. The Institute offers courses at UG, PG, PhD, and Integrated levels. The PhD admission are conducted twice every year.

There are 54 seats in M.E. programme of IIST Indore. There are 18 seats available in each M.E. specialisations. Candidates are offered seat in M.E. based on their GATE scores. Aspirants need to participate in DTE MP Counselling to get a seat in M.E. programme.

Candidates must pass bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognised university with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved category) to apply for M.E. at Indore Institute of Science and Technology. Aspirants must also have GATE scores for admission to M.E. programme.

Candidates are shortlisted for BTech course at IIST Indore based on their JEE Main scores. Applicants need to participate in DTE MP Counselling with their JEE scores. The seats are allotted to candidates in three phases during the counselling.

Yes, candidates who scored over 45% aggregate in their Class 12 board exams are eligible to apply for the BSc courses at SIMS provided that they pass from the PCM/PCB stream with English as a mandatory subject. Candidates are also required to appear for the All India Entrance Exam conducted by SIMS and score an appropriate rank to gain admissions in BSc courses offered by the institute.

Candidates who are interested in taking admissions in the BSc courses offered by SIMS are required to appear for the All India Entrance Exam conducted by SIMS itself. SIMS admissions first require candidates to appear for the aforementioned exam and score an appropriate score for admissions. Then, the candidates who successfully score an appropriate rank are called for an interview.
