50% of the students opting for automobile engineering go for further studies. Some students with higher gpa and other good records get placed in core companies. Many get placed in IT companies. Even many of the bright students get placed in IT. There could many reasons :
There are many many companies recruiting from MIT Manipal but the problem is what to choose, core company or IT company?
First of all take this very seriously, the life of an engineer at a production company is tough. I do not mean to scare you, but it is true, unfortunately. Its not like at the IT companies where you can get a lot of time and also a good city. However you will become a tough person gradually. So to answer the question that some of you guys have asked Which to prefer: IT company or core company?
If you want to join a core company for the money, youll be surprised! An IT company will give you a similar payout after 3-4 years and would also give you lot of options to witch companies and also other benefits. I suggest you join a core company if and only if you actually like Mechanical or automobile engineering! Else, you'll end up frustrated. Another reason you will join the core company is because you may not like sitting continuously for 8 hours.
The Core experience helps a lot for MS admissions to a good university abroad and getting a research project / research assistant position under a professor and getting a job after MS. They love it if you have any industry experience. The underline however is that the project should be related to your specialization during your Masters.

It was established in 1969 and is one of the oldest engineering branches in Manipal and has its reputation.
I can say that faculty is not 100% best, not more than 4 to 5 professors are good with their subjects. Professors are really good and are ready to help you. The course structure is pretty good and equivalent to BITS (HOD used to be from BITS).
Excellent chemical engineering laboratories - Mass Transfer, Heat Transfer and a State of the art Process Control lab. The computer lab equipped with all the engineering software - CAD, Aspen, Matlab.
Practice School Policy. Students can do their final year projects outside the institution like - CSIR labs, Honeywell etc.,
Coming to the important section placements if your goal is to get a job in service/IT industry then it's not a big deal. MIT doesn't have any sustainable relations with process industries so it's a challenge to find core chemical industries on the placement list. To my knowledge, these are the companies I've seen during my 4 years at Manipal:- Jindal Steels, Grasim textiles, Reliance, Mangalore refinery recruited students having 8 and above CGPA.

Manipal Institute of Technology is known for its European culture as well as lifestyle. Almost, all the students are from the elite families get into Manipal though the institution charges a high fee but provides countless facilities and training. The same is reflected in the recruitment drives where many national and multinational corporations of India visit the institution for placement drives. Talking about CSE, the highest placement is around 27 LPA two years prior and the average placements are around 10 LPA based upon the students capability. Also, students get numerous placement opportunities abroad and most of the students are from CSE, IT and ECE branch.
A brief about the entrance, it conducts an online test and is of 200 marks, including physics, chemistry and maths along with English and aptitude.

MIT is good Institute which provides quality education especially to CSE students.
The placements at MIT, Manipal of Computer Science Engineering is really very good. The placement ratio is almost 95% placement. Many multinational IT companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, etc. visit every year and take students from here.
The average package is around 12 lakhs per annum.
Since this Branch CSE is among evergreen field, the Placements of this Branch will increase with good amount of packages.Other than these , many companies like ITC, Zydus, GSK, Uber, Ola cabs TCS, Tech Mahindra, Mahindra Satyam, Cognizant, Infosys, Just dial, etc. takes students from here. This all credit goes to Training and Placement Cell Department of MIT. So thus it is really good to do Computer Science Engineering from MIT Manipal if someone is really interested in this course and is in the search better packages and further studies.
So, thus the placement ratio of MIT Manipal is almost 95% and in future it will be like this only for Computer Science Engineering and other top Engineering fields.

You can easily crack MUOET in three months even if you are not preparing for any engineering entrance exam. The level of MUOET is not that high but competition is everywhere. You need to make proper time table. MUOET generally ask conceptual Questions. The mathematics part is generally easy and scoring as well. If you have studied well for board exams, then it will be quite easy for you.
Points you should know while preparing for MUOET:
1. You should spend 5 hours in mathematics, 4 hours in physics and 3 hours in chemistry.
2. Prefer NCERT books for chemistry and physics (chemistry is must).
3. Stick with the basics as MUOET tests your command over the chapters. For physics, you may prefer HC Verma (both volumes). RD Sharma objective is enough for maths.
4. Apart from all these, you should solve previous year's papers. This will give you an idea about the quality of Questions asked as well as paper pattern. Solve a lot of mock papers too.

MIT-Manipal is well known for its vibrant academic and co-curricular scenario.
