The National Institute of Fashion Technology, Shillong, accepts the NIFT entrance exam for admission to the B.Des courses. NIFT Shillong cutoff 2025 has been released in multiple rounds, wherein the B.Des cutoff ranged between 2021 and 2781 for the General AI category candidates. So, considering the third round cutoff, students seeking admission to NIFT Shillong must secure a rank up to 2781 or lower to be eligible for B.Des admission in Round 3. Please note that the cutoff ranks vary for different rounds and categories.

In general, NIT Agartala has an advantage over NIT Meghalaya because of its longer history and better established faculty. Compared to NIT Meghalaya, a more recent institution formed in 2010, NIT Agartala, which was founded in 1965, has a better developed infrastructure, a bigger range of programs, and a more established placement network. The engineering programs of NIT Agartala are well recognized, and the institution has strong industry linkages that help with excellent placement prospects and better average wage packages for graduates. However, despite being more recent, NIT Meghalaya is expanding quickly and provides a promising academic environment together with state-of-the-art facilities. However, NIT Agartala is typically a more favored option for students looking for a general reputation, placement history, and programme breadth.

Depending on their admissions policies, North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong may still be able to admit you to their BA.LLB degree even if you did not take the CUET (Central Universities Entrance Test). Applicants to NEHU's legal schools must normally pass an entrance exam in order to be admitted. If the CUET exam was mandatory for this year, you should visit the official NEHU website or get in touch with their admissions office to find out about other options for admission or if there are any further entrance exams you can take. If you don't pass the main entrance exam, certain colleges might offer alternate routes or allow you direct admission based on other qualifications.
